THE GUARD

Provenance & Editions

Every AphroDreamWerX piece leaves here with its record attached. Two kinds of work, two ways of proving it: one you can hold, one you can verify. Neither is a lesser edition — they are different bodies for the same image.

GUARD · PHYSICAL

Work you can hold

Prints, panels, and objects. Each one is finished on a UV flatbed with a proprietary raised pass — a relief you can feel with a fingertip and no screen, scan, or reprint can reproduce. That finish is the first signature; the paperwork is the second.

UV FINISHRaised varnish pass, keyed to the plate’s own geometry. Unique per edition run.
EDITION CAPCapped at the number printed on the plate. When the run closes, the file is retired — no second run, no size variants sold as new.
BLOCKCHAINFinishing a plate includes writing its certificate to an on-chain anchor, and that record is handed over with the piece — including when it changes hands.
IN THE BOXSigned plate, numbered certificate, and a plain-language line on what was human and what was generated.
GUARD · DIGITAL

Work that moves

Motion plates and time-based pieces. There is no print because a still frame is not the work — the crossing happens over seconds. So the proof moves to the file itself: a cryptographic hash of the exact master, timestamped at the moment it was sealed.

HASHSHA-256 of the master file. Change one frame and the hash no longer matches — that is the whole guarantee.
TIMESTAMPSealing a master writes its date to an on-chain anchor, so the sequence of the work is provable, not asserted.
WHY NO PRINTFlattening a motion plate would sell you a fragment. Where a still holds up on its own, it is released as its own Guard-Physical plate — never as a substitute.
YOU RECEIVEMaster file, hash record, timestamp receipt, and the same plain-language process note.

READING A CERTIFICATE

01 · PLATE IDPermanent identifier. Never reissued, even if an edition sells out.
02 · GUARD PATHPhysical or Digital — the diamond or the ring, matching the mark on the piece.
03 · PROCESS NOTEOne paragraph: what was drawn, what was generated, what was chosen — and by whom.
04 · ANCHOROn-chain reference, written at sealing, yours to verify — without asking us to vouch for it.

GRACE

Made with a machine and a hand, and honest about which did what.

Provenance kept plainly — the record travels with the work.
